New reports regarding two of the heavily rumored next generation gaming consoles – Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4 – are flowing in almost every day, and now as per latest reports, Remedy’s Oskari Hakkinen has mentioned that the next-gen consoles will be a quantum leap over their predecessors.
Now for those of you thinking hard as to what a quantum leap means, and even using Google, according to scientific terms, it’s a real tiny leap, but when using in a conversation (casually), it actually means a big leap.
According to reports, Hakkinen, in an interview with the German edition of Gameindustry.biz, revealed that Remedy is working on an unnamed project which is meant for the next generation consoles.
"We are working as usual, first with a relatively small team on a next-generation project. One wonders, yes always is: Can the new consoles really be that much better than the previous Rest assured: it's you, it is a quantum leap," Hakkinen told Gamesindustry International.
Both Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4 have been in news for some time now. It was previously reported that Microsoft and Sony could follow Nintendo’s path and introduce social networking and co-operative play.
Studio Liverpool’s Graeme Ackers, previously, discussed about the possibility of these features becoming a part of next-generation console gaming with Eurogamer. He said that it could be “really fun” for a gamer to help his/her friend achieve certain goals.
