J.K. Rowling: Why 'Fantastic Beasts' Film Story Is Told In A Span of Five Movies

The story we're indeed telling - weight on the "really." J.K. Rowling's answers strongly suggesting that the story will be nearly about some fantastic creatures (and where to find them).

IMAX Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them fan event, J.K. Rowling dropped in throughout the final moments by chance it share the news that this film story is now set to be told through the span of five movies. For those holding count, that would put this sprouting sub-franchise just three films short of the Harry Potter film series.

The new trailers for Fantastic Beasts also taunt rising tension in New York among No-Majes who are affirming the existence of wizards. We know that the U.S. Ministry of Magic (MACUSA) is devoted in preserving magical privacy. We're also seeing reports that Gellert Grindelwald is behind a chain of attacks in Europe.

We know from the Harry Potter books that of Grindelwald's greatest objectives was to get rid of the universal Statute of Wizarding Secrecy, so that sorcerers and magicians could live and practice magic out in the open. If all of these deputies are connected, it may be a strong sign that the first Fantastic Beasts movie is going to lay the basis for that story to expand even further.

Does This Mean We'll See Dumbledore vs. Grindelwald?

Presuming Grindelwald's aimed to a revolutionary story that's really going to be told, how precisely does Fantastic Beasts relate with it? If we're traveling with that theory, for now, estimating it would be, we might see Grindelwald's rise and ultimate fall told through Newt Scamander's eyes.The new featurette that released during the IMAX event included a couple soundbites of Michael Gambon's Dumbledore, one of which is:
