LG Announces Optimus L9 Smartphone with 4.7-Inch IPS Display, 1GHz Dual-Core Processor and ICS

LG has unleashed the latest addition to its L-series of smartphones, Optimus L9. Considered to be the most powerful L-series smartphone released so far, the Optimus L9 is stylish and sports some noteworthy specifications as well.

Weighing at 125gms, the new LG smartphone features a 4.7-inch high-definition IPS display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a 5-megapixel camera, a VGA front-camera, and a 2,150 mAh battery.

The Optimus L9 features a 9.1mm thin body with a slimming metallic streak and modern square style that offers a comfortable grip from its slim and stylish design. Moreover, LG's latest smartphone will also include differentiated UX features, such as the QTranslator and My Style Keypad function along with the ever-popular QMemoTM. The QTranslator app also incorporates the optical character recognition (OCR) technology. The app has the ability to scan words and sentences from 44 different source languages, whereas the OCR translates it to nearly 64 user languages.

Pricing and release details of Optimus L9 are yet to be revealed.
