Pokemon Go Update: New Patch Adds Useless Feature

Niantic has released the latest Pokemon Go update three days ago and though the changes weren't what we call major, they still significantly made the game indeed more challenging and interesting. Just like the newly added capture bonus and the Pokemon evolution animation time shortened .

Another interesting new Pokemon Go feature is that you can now bring six Pokemon instead of the usual 5 to battle at Pokemon Go gyms, where we can safely say that it made the game a bit more engaging. This is enough to keep loyal trainers in and maybe lure non-players to start capturing Pokemon, right?

Pokemon Go Update

Yes, every Pokemon Go player has been waiting for big updates such as a tracking system or maybe the trading feature. Not to mention, the addition of second generation Pokemon, right? But then again, it's not like Niantic has stopped giving new updates. As we remember, the Pokemon Go developers are keen in bringing new patches to the game every two weeks or so, it is highly likely that we will get to see the much awaited Pokemon Go features pretty soon so, continue leveling up!

Another thing to note is that in the new Pokemon Go patch, it has added a pretty useless feature that everyone can somehow agree on.

Pokemon Go New Useless Feature

Push notifications. Yes, if you may have noticed (assuming that you have done your share of updating Pokemon Go), the game will start sending you notifications to keep reminding you that you have installed the Pokemon Go app and it still exists in your phone.

Since it may be unlikely that Pokemon Go push notifications will increase their daily visit count, it has been reported by Otakukart that this is actually a pretty common strategy from App developers. Through sending these notifications, this will motivate the phone user to log in to the app and increase the app's daily activity. In case you didn't know, daily visit activities measure the app's success so yes, they are indeed very strategic.

To those who are starting to get annoyed with Pokemon Go notifications asking you to log in every now and then, you can go to your app settings and disable it. There, whenever the phone makes a sound you won't be disappointed anymore in just seeing "Pokemon Go" messaging you.
