Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 vs Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
If the engines will be the judge of which is better between the two then it will be a hard decision for car critics and muscle car fans. Shelby GT350 and ZL1 are the most powerful among the muscle cars that are available right now.
In a report on Car Scoops, Shelby's engine can pump 5.2-liter V-8 with a horsepower of 526 while Camaro's engine has 6.2-liter V8 with a horsepower of 650.The difference between how their engine sounds are just the basis right now, but the two are not direct competition with each other.
However, there are some rumors that Camaro ZL1 will be more powerful than Shelby GT350 because the former's engine is bigger and can produce larger torques.
Ford Mustang Shelby's Features
Shelby GT350's engine is 5.2-liter flat plane with crank V-8. It has a torque of 429 lb. ft. and horsepower of 526 at 7,500 rpm while it can accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour (mph) in 4.3 seconds. Its wheelbase measures about 107.1 inches.
Shelby GT350 has side impact beams, driveline traction control, airbag occupancy sensor, back-up camera, AdvanceTrac Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and passenger seat-mounted side airbags, according to Car and Driver.
Chevrolet Camaro ZL1's Features
The all new Camaro ZL1 has a four-cylinder engine with a horsepower of 640 and torque of 640 lb. ft., making it faster than its predecessor. It also weighs 200 pounds lighter than 2014 ZL1 but the 2017 ZL1 can run zero to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds. The brakes of the Camaro ZL1 are enormous with a measurement of 15.4-inches
Chevrolet is hoping that ZL1 will be the best among the muscle cars now available on the market.
