Ever since "One Punch Man" was confirmed for a second season, the fans have been anticipating its storyline and even its release date. There have been speculations that the upcoming season will tell the tale of how Saitama got hold of his powers.
"One Punch Man" Season 2 To Introduce More Villains And More Allies As Well
There is a possibility that the upcoming "One Punch Man" season two will divert from the original storyline of the manga series. Reports have claimed that the anime series will feature more villains when the show returns, as opposed to the ones existing in the original. Fans of both the manga and the series have mixed responses to this theory, however will continually support the show once it returns.
There have been speculations that the almighty villain from season one, Lord Boros will return to fight with Saitama again during "One Punch Man" season two. As it can be recalled, his character already died in a battle with Saitama in the first season, but he will allegedly be resurrected and return to seek vengeance for his death. Nevertheless, the upcoming season will feature more battle scenes between Saitama and the villains that he will encounter.
Saitama's Origin and Back Story To Be Tackled In Upcoming Season
The storyline of "One Punch Man" season two is also theorized to be darker than the previous season. Since more villains will be introduced, Saitama will also have more allies to defeat them. There have been reports that not only will the anime series introduce additional enemies, it will also tell about the real story of how the protagonist got his power. The upcoming season will reportedly feature Saitama's origin and beginning.
Since more of Saitama's backstory will be revealed in the upcoming season, rumor has it that it will also tackle his weaknesses. Like every hero there is, Saitama also has something that his enemies can use against him and it looks like that will be discovered in the second season of "One Punch Man." These weaknesses may definitely be used against him, but stronger allies to be formed around Saitama will help him defeat tem, too.
Although it hasn't been confirmed yet, "One Punch Man" season two is set to be released early 2017.
