Exclusive: Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch Fires Another Captain On Board

Another one bites the dust but it's for a good cause. Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch now on it's 13th season will be without F/V Cornelia Marie and it's Captain, Josh Harris.

Josh Harris, the son of the late Captain Phil Harris is one of the veterans in the reality TV series. Josh and his crew is one of the most intense competitors and also the wackiest at that. They have been on the show for a long time but in a shocking turn of events, Josh Harris called it quits.

When the news first hit the public, there are ongoing speculations already on why Harris and his F/V Cornelia Marie won't be in Deadliest Catch Season 13. Speculations such as having a spat with the producers and its co-stars. Salary was also being rumored to be the biggest issue on why Harris was fired. But Harris was defiant and shares the reason why he left the show on his facebook page.

"Thank you to all for your patience. I had a family matter to attend to, so I have had to leave the boat to come home and take care of a few things. "First and foremost, we want to thank everybody for all of your messages and wishes. The Cornelia Marie captains and crew really appreciate and are humbled by your outpouring of support", Harris said.

"I am here today to set things straight in regards to the filming of Season 13 of Deadliest Catch. The Cornelie Marie and her crew are making their way out to the fishing grounds today. We do not have a camera crew aboard this king crab season. This was not our decision, and it was not made by the owners nor the captains of the Cornelia. This was not a dispute over money, this was simply a decision made by production Discovery. They have creative control over pretty much everything that airs on Deadliest Catch, and we respect that", Harris continued.

So What's Next For Captain Josh Harris And F/V Cornelia Marie?

"We are fishermen and we will be doing what we love to do this king crab season, but we will be doing it alone. The film crew has been like a family to us, and their absence will weigh heavy in our hearts. It has been a pleasure to take you on my journey as I've grown - as a son, a grandson, a brother, a father, and a fisherman and a captain.

Your support has meant the world to me and it's been quite a ride having all of you right there by my side. You have been with me through some of the best times of my life, and you have been there for the absolute worst day of my life. I consider all of you part of my family, and thank you from the bottom of my heart", he ended.

Let us watch some of the deadliest catch from Captain Josh Harris with his crew and the F/V Cornelia Marie down below.
