"Moonlight Drawn By Clouds" stars Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung have impressed their viewers with their on-screen chemistry. Recently, the young heartthrob opened up about how he and Kim Yoo Jung built their friendship on-set.
During a short interview with Mango TV, Park Bo Gum revealed that "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds" paved way for a special friendship with his co-star Kim Yoo Jung. Since it was their first time to work on a project together, the actor revealed that they had an awkward start saying, "When we met in the beginning, there definitely a bit of awkwardness. I mean, it was our first meeting and because she is my sunbae (senior)."
Park Bo Gum is older than Kim Yoo Jung but the actor looks up to her as his senior in the entertainment industry. Despite the age difference, the two eventually clicked and became close friends. "However, through Yoo Jung, I was able to learn a lot of things that I didn't know about historical dramas, and as we [worked on] the script together little by little, we got close as well fell for Lee Young and Ra On," Park Bo Gum revealed.
The actor also shared the specific scene in "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds" that triggered the beginning of their closeness. According to Park Bo Gum, the pilot episode, wherein Yeong and Ra On fell into a pit, helped them to bond and grow closer together.
Park Bo Gum also added that after shooting the said scene, he and Kim Yoo Jung started going out to eat together and even maintained communication. "After filming [the pit scene], we contact each other and eat together. Right now, we are enjoying the closest oppa-dongseng relationship there is," Park Bo Gum added.
The strong chemistry between the two is quite undeniable, thus fans really enjoy their scenes in "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds." The historical drama will air its final two episodes on October 17 and 18 on KBS. Check out the pit scene that drew Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung closer in the video below.
