Sony A99 Image Leaked

Images of Sony's much-rumored flagship Alpha camera - the A99 - have been leaked on the Internet ahead of its official launch.

The leaked photograph of Sony's upcoming high-end full-frame single lens translucent (SLT) DSLR first sprung up on Chinese Web site, Xitek. After verifying the image, folks at SonyAlphaRumors averred that the A99's photograph was authentic.

Additionally, rumors indicate that the A99 will be an SLT camera with a full-frame DSLR. It is also said that the new Sony camera will feature a full-frame CMOS sensor, Bionz image processor, and utilize a 102-point autofocus (AF) system. The camera will also sport 2.360k OLED electronic viewfinder, and will also come with a 3-inch, 921k-dot tilting screen. The camera will also allow users to record 1080p full-HD videos with stereo sound.

What's more, the impending Sony camera will feature a translucent mirror technology and an ISO range that can range between 50 and 25,600.

Sporting a 730g weather-sealed magnesium alloy chassis, the rumored A99 will also feature in-body stabilization and dual memory card slots.

The Sony A99 will be the company's first full-frame camera since 2009's A850 and the first to use the company's SLT mirror system.

Sony is expected to unveil the A99 camera on September 12.
