Wakatoshi Ushijima is not the only player who would give Karasuno a hard time in their match against Shiratorizawa. In "Haikyuu!!" season 3 episode 3, the oddball combo, Hinata and Kageyama will have a taste of Satori Tendo's talent as guess monster.
In "Haikyuu!!" season 3 episode 2, Karasuno was finally able to pick up Ushijima's outrageous spike using total defense. Blockers limited Ushijima's spike path and in that area, the team's super libero, Yū Nishinoya, was waiting for it. He was finally able to receive the ace's spike after three balls as he promised. However, Shiratorizawa still won the first set with a 9-point gap.
"Haikyuu!!" season 3 episode 3, titled "Guess-Monster," will focus on yet another great player in Shiratorizawa, third year middle blocker Tendo. He will use his good observation abilities and instincts to guess Karasuno's attack patterns especially Hinata and Kageyama. He would be able to stop the duo's attack thrice in a row.
However, Kageyama would not back down easily. More than anything, he hates the ball he sets getting blocked. He will distract Tendo utilizing the width of the court with Hinata's broad attack and more precise movements. Karasuno will also use their dual setter mode with vice captain, Kōshi Sugawara, to have more varied attacks while Karasuno's rationality, first year middle blocker, Kei Tsukishima will lead the blocking.
The set will continue in "Haikyuu!!" season 3 episode 4. Based on the manga, Karasuno will face another good player from Shiratorizawa. Even though Shiratorizawa is like a team centered on their ace, all players are still talented as they are. The set is about to end and it's Ushijima's time to serve. His spike-like serve will be received by Karasuno captain Daichi Sawamura. Shiratorizawa setter Kenjirō Shirabu will do a surprise attack, a setter tip, and Shiratorizawa will reach matchpoint.
But Karasuno is not going to let Shiratorizawa snatch another set. Karasuno wing spiker, Ryūnosuke Tanaka, will be successful on a wipeout. Kageyama will get his revenge with a nicely done return setter tip and Tanaka will score another one with a spike while Hinata is acting decoy.
"Haikyuu!!" season 3 episode 3 is expected to air on Saturday, Oct. 22.
