I am sure that I'm not the only one who thinks that Stairway to Heaven is the number one in our list. Various rock sites also confirmed that this masterpiece from Led Zeppelin is indeed the greatest rock song in history. It is plainly majestic and the brilliance of each member is displayed, from the Vocals of Robert Plant, to the epic guitar solo of Jimmy Page, to the melodic tunes of John Paul Jones and the pitch perfect timing of Jon Bonham. 2. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
When I first heard this song it was like I was listening to a stage play. The way Freddie Mercury captivated the crowd is second to none. The artistic side was on full display and Brian May's input to the song cannot be questioned. The Queen who also popularized "We are the Champions" and "We will rock you" made a stamp in the music world that nobody can deny.
3. Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Timeless classic and an epic ballad. It is so amazing how they were able to collaborate with this masterpiece. And the guitar solo performed by David Gilmour just expand the ideas on how the guitar should be played. They are also a decorated musician as they've been relevant for how many years already.
4. AC/DC - Highway To Hell
I remember one of the DJ's stating that, if you don't have any copy of AC/DC's highway to hell song then you don't understand what a rock song is. Well, I guess he is right. AC/DC displayed their talents on this 4 minute song and it's a thing of beauty. Their lead singer might have changed due to Scott's untimely death but their music lives on.
5. Led Zeppelin - Kashmir
This is the second song from the multi award winner and hall of famer Led Zeppelin. What makes kashmir a great song? The harmony of each music instruments were in full display and it is just a magnificent thing to see. No showboating, no crazy acts, no solos, just for talented artist working as one.
