Motorola has unveiled its RAZR M Developer Edition. Individuals who are looking to work with an unlocked bootloader can now pre-order the device.
Both Motorola and Google confirmed the Developer Edition of the phone at the launch event last week; however, users are thrilled to know that the unlocked edition is already available for pre-order.
The company states that the "device comes packed with all the same features and specs as the DROID RAZR M while also offering the infinite customization possibilities offered by an unlockable bootloader."
The normal version of Motorola Droid RAZR M has already hit the store shelves. The device feature a 4.3-inch qHD (540×960) Super AMOLED Advanced display, Android 4.0.4, Dual-Core 1.5GHz Qualcomm S4 CPU, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of ROM MicroSD storage. It also has an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a front-facing VGA camera. The device supports 1080p HD video recording, DLNA, NFC, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and has a 2000 mAh battery.
However, Motorola stated that unlocking the device and installing a personalized software may "cause the device to stop working, disable important features and functionality, and even make the device unsafe to the point of causing you harm."
"Neither Motorola, nor your wireless carrier or retailer from whom you purchased the device, will be responsible for such damage, so please do not unlock or load any software unless you know what you are doing," stated the company.
The Developer Edition is available for pre-order and has been priced at $549.99.
