New Mass Effect Game, Omega DLC Confirmed by Bioware

The "Mass Effect" series was always meant to go the distance, and now it seems that even the company has confirmed that. Per reports, Bioware, the company behind the game, is planning to work on a brand new "Mass Effect" title, along with a new Omega DLC for "Mass Effect 3."

The information has arrived after Bioware's Aaryn Flynn, in a blog post related to the resignation of BioWare's co-founders (Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk), mentioned that the team is planning for new multiplayer content, with single-player stories also set for arrival.

"Executive Producer Casey Hudson and his team are coming off an amazing eight-year run with the Mass Effect trilogy. But they're not done yet. We are releasing more multiplayer content and we have more single-player stories coming throughout the next six months, including Omega which is coming in the Fall" stated Flynn. "But the Mass Effect universe is vast, and Casey and our teams have plans for another full game."

What's more, Casey Hudson and his leads are making notes for an all new game set in a fictional universe. The game will be built from scratch with all new gaming technology. Importantly, this will be a brand new IP franchise that will not be based on "Dragon Age" or "Mass Effect."

Additionally, Operation: PATRIOT multiplayer has also been announced. The multiplayer pack will now have new guns, new objectives, and a new telemetry. Know more about it here.
