Developer and publisher Sports Interactive and SEGA have announced that the companies' upcoming installment in the "Football Manager" series - "Football Manager 2013" will be released globally on Nov. 2.
The company also announced that anyone who pre-orders this year's game through a participating retail partner will be rewarded with an early access to a fully-playable version of the game - something gamers look forward to.
Fans who pre-order (or pre-purchases) "Football Manager 2013" - either boxed or as a digital download - will receive a unique code providing access to a pre-release, single-player 'Beta' version of the game 14 days prior to the official launch date.
"I'm really excited to be able to announce that the release date for Football Manager 2013 on PC & Mac will be Friday November 2nd at 00.01 GMT - that'll be the time we'll turn on the Steam servers to allow people to start playing the game," stated Miles Jacobson, director of Sports Interactive.
The Beta version of "Football Manager 13" will give access to most of the forthcoming game's features. The impending features include the all-new Football Manager Classic mode and the short-term Challenges.
However, it is important to note that the Beta version will remain fully functional only till Monday, Nov. 5, post which it will no longer be playable.
"Our fans are very good at letting us know what they want and the one thing that's consistently at the top of their wish list is an earlier release date. While we can't, strictly speaking, offer them exactly what they want, this Beta version is the next best thing... a fully playable Football Manager they can get their hands on around two weeks before the finished game hits the streets," Jacobson added.
However, this time barrier should not worry fans as the Beta version's saved games will be fully compatible with the final release, and the players' progress over the pre-release period will not be lost.
"Football Manager 2013" will allow users to take control of any club in more than 50 nations across the world and includes Europe's biggest leagues as well as a database of over 500,000 real-world players and staff.
Two new modes - Classic and Challenge - have also been included. While the Classic Mode is a less time-consuming way to enjoy Football Manager, the Challenge Mode will place gamers in a particular situation which will test their management skills in the game over a shorter time period.
