Left4Dead 3 May Just Happen

For gamers who had a pretty good time decapitating zombies with the "Left4Dead" franchise, a new sequel to the last "Left4Dead 2" is speculated. Per new reports, Valve writer Chet Faliszek is not entirely turning down the possibilities of a new "Left4Dead 3" to arrive.

Faliszek, in an interview with Eurogamer, was asked about the possibility of another sequel, and if it would arrive in the near future.

"You know, some time down the road. Like anything, I would say that to all of our games. So that's not a promise of when or where. I really love working on that series. It's one of my favorite series. It's just so much fun with the characters and the world. I love zombies and I love horror. So, yeah," responded Faliszek.

Faliszek is just fresh out from his work with "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive," and is already working hard at making "Left4Dead" better than what it actually is, currently. He stated that the L4D team, for PC, will incorporate Steam Workshop, so people will be able to create items. Also the team is conducting some kind of experiment with the game.

"What if the community can choose what's showing up in the game based on what they like, as people make let's say melee weapons or something? So there's a bunch of playing around we want to do there," said Faliszek. "But right now there's so much content out there that we really just want to start getting that going."

Nonetheless, a possibility exists that the "Left4Dead 3" could ultimately happen. However, Valve will take its time on this one after the company faced some resentment for releasing the second game only a year after the first.

Additionally, the "Left4Dead" series has now sold 12 million units. Faliszek, this time in an interview with VG247, expressed his happiness in the current turnout of events.

"We just let the game speak for itself because the internet has made this thing where, you can't pull the wool over people's eyes any more. They're going to know you're hyping. But when a game does really well at pre-release, they're going to know that you're not just talking a bunch of PR crap. I mean, the Left 4 Dead series has now sold over 12 million copies," said Faliszek .
