Bioware is all set to make yet another push to its immensely popular "Mass Effect 3" title with new improvements. Per reports, on Oct. 4, the company will start rolling out its biggest patch ever for "Mass Effect 3" since it released back in March.
The patch will aim to fix niggling issues that surround the game, including bugs and texture problems to multiplayer and campaign issues.
"A new patch will be coming this week for Mass Effect 3 which will improve your gaming experience," the official Bioware page states. "On X360 and PS3, you will be prompted to update your software, just confirm and wait for it to complete. On PC you will need to install the patch through Origin before you launch Mass Effect 3. Wait for it to complete installation before playing."
The newest fixes that are set to arrive include fixes for weapons with natural piercing from having their damage reduced with piercing mods equipped, a rare crash in the final mission level involving the firing of the Cain at the Hades Cannon, dropping Retrieve Objects that could potentially fall under the level, SMG Ultralight Materials Mod not having impact on power recharge speed, and more.
Console and PC specific fixes are also in the pipeline. For example, for Xbox, the developers have fixed a rare crash where the screen suddenly goes black. Now, "upon booting up the game and attempting to reach the title screen, players will now be able to get to title screen to recover their save games." Additionally, the progress for locked achievements will be reset, whereas the achievements that players have unlocked achievements will not be hampered.
"We'll be patching me3 on Thursday. It will be our largest patch, and has been in dev. for months. It also sets us up for future," wrote Michael Gamble, Mass Effect producer, on his twitter page.
Although the current patch will be dealing with the latest ME title, the word "future" in the tweet could be set up for something else, maybe a new "Mass Effect" title in the near future? Or it could also be the upcoming Omega DLC.
The new information on the game has arrived after it was reported that the upcoming Omega DLC's text files and plot summary were already discovered in the original game itself.
