EA, per its latest announcement that the "Medal of Honor: Warfighter" multiplayer beta will be starting on Oct. 5, has now made the beta live and is open for all. However, it is important to note that the multiplayer beta is only for Xbox 360 owners via Xbox Live.
The beta will allow players to access a unit of two who operate as a team within the team. Moreover, Fireteam buddies can be seen anywhere on the map, act as a spawn point, and can also protect the gamer in a firefight.
The Hotspot Mode has also been included. The Hotspot is a sweeping take on the classic bomb defuse gameplay. Players will enter the arena knowing that as many as five explosives caches are spread around a level, and each team must plant or defend at least three caches to achieve victory.
Apart from in-game developments, players can also unlock the new Linkin Park video for Castle of Glass early with 3 million beta downloads.
The "Medal of Honor: Warfighter" beta will feature multiplayer action with all 12 units and six classes available. Full weapon unlocks will be available for the Assaulter class. The beta already started on Oct. 5 and should be available worldwide in the Xbox Live Marketplace by 9:00 AM PST.
The beta will again close on Oct. 15 at 12:01 AM PST, however, all progression in the beta will be reset before the game's official launch. This means that all those players who are hoping to carry over their progression and stats into the live game are set to be disappointed. The beta is currently available in English, German, and French.
Users, however, can get hold of all the bonus content at no additional cost when they pre-order their limited edition copy before the official arrival of the game - Oct. 23.
"Medal of Honor: Warfighter" is a direct sequel to 2010's series reboot "Medal of Honor," and the fourteenth "Medal of Honor" installment in the series. The game will run on DICE's Frostbite 2 (similar to "Battlefield 3"), and both single-player and multiplayer are going to use the latest version of Frostbite 2.
