The dramedy “Limitless” is putting its best foot forward to release its second installment. However, despite the hard work of the series’ cast and crew, it looks like the controversial science fiction show is bound for only one season.
A report noted creator Craig Sweeny’s previous confirmation that “Limitless” has been canceled after its first season due to ugly ratings and its lack of ability to reach out to the audience. In desperate hope that the show will still push through, producer and recurring cast member Bradley Cooper (Eddie) was believed to have been endlessly negotiating the airing of the series to other networks.
The giant streaming company Netflix famous for taking shows that were canceled by other networks was presumed to be the only chance of the soap to pursue a new season. Also, subscribers of the said company who happens to be strong supporters of “Limitless” were reported to cancel their subscription if it will not pick up the Jake McDorman – led program.
According to FX News Call, the series’ executive producers collaborated and have met the honchos of Amazon Video but failed to convince them to buy the rights just like with Netflix. These firms were speculated to have turned down the offer because of the sensitive issues on the NZT drugs that are featured in the storyline. The nootropics are considered as dangerous to one’s life, hence patronizing the show will not be beneficial to the watchers especially the young ones.
Another speculation surfaced that Cooper is wooing famous singer Lady Gaga to join and save "Limitless" season 2. The two celebrities became close as both will team up in a big movie called "A Star Is Born." While Gaga nor Cooper have not made any official comments about the issues, it is best to wait for a legit update about “Limitless.”
