Google Homepage Redesigned for Mobiles – New Hidden Services Sidebar Added

Google is modifying its Android and iOS apps almost every day with updates and new tweaks, but that doesn’t mean that the company is ignoring its presence on the Web. Per reports, Google has redesigned its official homepage for mobile phones and mobile devices.

Now when users visit Google.com via their mobile devices, they will experience a brand new interface. The new design is actually the one that was already present in the page’s popular desktop browser, and the company decided to port the same to the mobile devices.

Currently, after redesigning, the top bar on Google’s mobile homepage now looks quite similar to desktop version. The Options tab (found far left in top bar) will now contain most of the services offered by Google, alongside the link to ‘All products’ at the bottom. Users will need to press the options tab to get the list of all those services, which can be again hidden back by sliding from right to left.

As far as the hidden sidebar is concerned, rather than having multiple tabs at the top of the screen with a few of Google's important services, there's now a hidden left-hand services sidebar that contains all of the Google products that users are familiar with.

Next to the options tab is a tab for web search. As expected, there is also one present for Images search, while the rest has been transferred to the hidden sidebar that we talked about. The Images tab now reloads itself to help the user in searching for images.

Alongside the tabs, on the right of the three tabs on the top, is the sign In tab (if the users is yet to sign in) or the Google+ image, with a notification count from Google+ profile, again similar to the desktop version of the homepage.

These, right now, are the most distinguishing features that can be tracked down, and more will be revealed if and when Google confirms the changes via its official blog, or any of Google’s representatives talk about it on their official Google+ page, like it has always happened.

Google, however, is yet to announce about the changes officially.
