It's been a very long time since Apple has updated their MacBook lineup. But not until next week, October 27. The company is finally updating their laptop series and that makes all Apple MacBook enthusiasts excited about!
Bloomberg reported recently that a thinner, faster MacBook Pro will be the star of the show.
The big event will be held the company's campus in Cupertino, California. According to Wired, it won’t be Apple’s splashiest event of the year, which is probably why it’s at the company’s small on-campus event center rather than at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, a literal rock concert venue.
Rumors on the MacBook is spreading like boom! According to Engadget, the soon-to-be-released and redesigned laptop has a touch-capable OLED strip on the keyboard above the number row that can adapt to whatever app you're using. Touch ID might be making its way to the Mac for the first time, as well. The computers will likely be thinner and lighter compared to the released MacBook in 2015. The butterfly keyboard mechanism tiered battery design and reliance on USB-C all seem likely to come on board at this point. We're hoping the MacBook Pro will be available in a variety of colors for the first time, too.
Beyond that, specifications of the iMac and MacBook Air seem like good bets. Looking beyond the usual style of Apple, it's also possible that iPad will get some love. It wouldn't surprise us to see if iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro will get some updates.
For now, let us all mark our calendars. See you on October 27!
