2016 MacBook Pro Is Definitely Arriving By The Holidays: Specs Plus Features

In a relatively odd move, Apple released macOS Sierra last month without any new hardware to back it up. However, reports are all indicating that the Cupertino-based company will unveil an all new 2016 MacBook Pro at its Oct. 27 event. Furthermore, the new device will begin rolling out just in time for the holidays.

As Gotta Be Mobile notes, the Retina MacBook Pro is almost a year old and does not strongly improve from any of its predecessors. With regards to its the specs and capabilities of its competitors, the MacBook line is trailing behind. As such, a much faster 2016 MacBook Pro, chuck full of new features thanks to the new macOS Sierra, is expected to reveal to the public before the end of the month.

The event itself is on a Thursday, following an Apple earnings report on Tuesday of that same week. Nevertheless, the event is expected to unveil the 2016 MacBook Pro in a location near or at Apple's Cupertino office. As Recode reports, the device will be available in various stores by the time the holidays roll around.

The 2016 MacBook Pro is expected to come with new touch screen function keys, which should be morph depending on the need of the user or the application or system currently in use. Furthermore, a Magic Keyboard is rumored to make an appearance as well and will primarily work like the function keys, but at a bigger scale. An updated Intel processor is expected to power the unit.

It might also follow in the footsteps of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, as Apple was reportedly asking MacBook users how many of them use the 3.5mm audio jack. As such, it is a definite possibility that the 2016 MacBook Pro will no longer carry the standard port. The new macOS Sierra also add new features, like editing between iOS and macOS devices.
