Darksiders: Warmastered Edition Update: Release Date Pushed Back A Month

Nordic Games has previously announced a remastered version of their Darksiders game. The upcoming version will be known as Darksiders: Warmastered Edition. This is the latest "old" game that received a remastered version for modern day consoles.

As previously reported from Game Rant, most of the remastered version's improvements are focused on the game's visual presentation. Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is expected to run at full HD with 1080p/60 frames per second on PC, PS4 and Xbox One and 30 frames per second on Wii U. The Wii U version might be somewhat lesser compared to the other version, however, the PC version will allow 4K resolution and multiple video options along with the other enhancements.

Based on the earlier announcements, the upcoming game is slated for release this month. However, Atlas, the game's publisher, announced today that Darksiders: Warmastered Edition will need a little bit of time to be completely ready.

According to PC Gamer, Atlas did not provide some specific reasons for the delay. But, fans will not be waiting for long as the new release date of the upcoming remastered version is scheduled to hit PC on Nov. 29, one week after following its console release on Nov. 22. On the other hand, Wii U will get a download-only update.

Veterans of the game may still be tempted to pick the game up even when the upcoming remaster will not offer a new gameplay. Darksiders: Warmastered Edition will be available for only $20, making it the lowest priced current-gen remasters as to date.

This marks the second remaster of the Darksiders franchise that Nordic Games has put out since obtaining the IP from THQ. Darksiders II: Definitive Edition was launched last year. That means whenever Darksiders: Warmastered Edition releases, the whole series would be playable via current-gen consoles.

On the other hand, rumors are now surfacing the internet that Nordic Games is preparing its audience for a brand new Darksiders sequel which will point out to the long rumored Darksiders 3. If it does eventually happen, it would be interesting enough to witness how it relates to the previous Darksiders title.
