Developer Treyarch has revealed a bit more about the Zombie Mode for the company’s upcoming first-person shooter title 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.' The new information reveals more about the eagerly anticipated Zombies mode that will be included in the game, alongside a few tips on how to survive the horror apocalypse.
The company, apart from stating about the extensive stat tracking feature alongside the leaderbords, says that the new Zombie mode will contain a skill-based matchmaking system. There will also be custom games which will let the user customize based on what they. This includes options like Headshots only, higher starting rounds, toggles for items and more.
The three modes that are set to arrive are Tranzit, Grief, and Survival.
Tranzit will let up to four player co-op in a large open world with a number of locations in the offering. The new Buildables gameplay elements will help players move through each area to find the key pieces of information that will eventually reveal why they are there in the first place, and what they must do to survive. Note that while all this happens, public transportation will still be operational, as a bus is scheduled to regularly stop at each location. It seems like the zombies will get a ride for free.
Grief, however, will let players and their friends take on up to four people in a team vs. Zombies vs. team scenario. This means that as many as eight players will be thrown in a situation to be the last humans standing in the fight for survival.
Survival, on the other hand, will be recreating the classic Zombie mode where the player’s only aim is to survive the shambling, incoming Zombie horde. The Survival mode is set to allow the user to play up to four players co-op in specific locations that have been taken from the much larger Tranzit area.
The new information regarding the game has arrived after developer Nihilistic Software, along with Activision, announced the upcoming “Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified” for the PlayStation Vita. The Vita version will feature single player, multiplayer and hostile modes, with the game taking place between the first two Black Ops titles. The game is set for a Nov. 13 arrival.
“Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” is also planned for a Nov. 13 release for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows, and later on Nov. 18 in USA and Nov. 30 for Europe for Wii U.
