Google Play Wishlist Introduced – Sharing Could Arrive Later

Google's Play Store has been in news for quite some time now with new updates and information arriving almost every day. Now, per reports, Google has launched the wishlist feature for users on the latest 3.9.16 build.

For starters, the wishlist seems like it just serves as a personal reminder of things the user may have been looking at earlier. The new feature, while browsing through the Store, will let user's flag apps, music, books, and any sort of media the Play Store currently sells, and bookmark them to add the items to the users' wishlist.

The wishlist feature, per reports, however, isn't just limited to apps and also extends to music, magazines, movies, tv content, books, or pretty much everything that's available in the Play Store.

The wishlist for Play Store was expected over the last few days after going through the recent Google Play Store APK, which provided enough proof about the building blocks of what looked like a new wishlist feature coming to the application.

However, previously, when the Play Store APK was revealed on the web, the possibility of a social component in the feature was also discussed. This social component would let users share their selections with friends, but nothing of that sort has arrived as of now.

The new wishlist feature has arrived alongside the improved and latest 3.6.19 build of the Google Play. The new updated version 3.9.16, which follows the previous version 3.8.17 (revealed back in August), allows users to delete previously downloaded apps from the All tab in the My Apps pane. A long press for selecting multiple entries makes the operation even easier.

The 3.9.16 update, currently, also lets users get rid of the unattractive list of apps on their accounts, that have amassed over a period of time, mostly due to numerous downloads.

Users will not be able to accidently delete apps from their devices in this manner, as the Play Store will not allow them to remove anything from the list that has been currently installed, which means more control is possible for users.

More details from the Play Store front are expected to be revealed during Google's planned Oct. 29 press event.
