Fans of Rockstar Games' popular FPS title "Max Payne 3" are in for some good news. Per reports, Rockstar Games has confirmed that the next DLC for "Max Payne 3," the Hostage Negotiation DLC, is set to arrive on Tuesday, Oct. 30.
"Today we're pleased to confirm that the Hostage Negotiation Pack, the next piece of Max Payne 3 Multiplayer DLC, will be available across all platforms on Tuesday, October 30th," stated Rockstar Games.
The Hostage Negotiation DLC, which will be available free of charge to Rockstar Pass holders and for either 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE or $9.99 on PlayStation Network and PC, is set to include four new multiplayer maps that have been specifically designed for powerful online gameplay, alongside new items, weapons, and an entirely new avatar faction - the Filhos De Ogum.
"Look for more details on the pack next week, including detailed previews of all four new maps," stated the Rockstar Games Web site.
As far as features are concerned, the pack is stuffed with some serious multiplayer goodies. The DLC is set to include two new weapons - the M24 Sniper Rifle and the IA2 Assault Rifle. Apart from that, there is a new Explosive Burst for explosive booby traps, the Bomb Suit item to protect against explosive damage, and the Intimidation Mask item to cause slower reload times for enemies.
The players will easily recognize the four new maps that have been ported from the campaign side of the game. These new locations will offer a variety of visual settings and structures for the expected fast and intense battling of the game's competitive multiplayer.
Detailing the maps, the Club Moderno will place the player in a nightclub with heavily armed arsenal to confront the enemies that will appear within the structure. The Favela Heights, on the other hand, will take Max back to the gang-infested neighborhoods where the buildings are filled with graffiti and gang signs. More details on O Palacio Strip Club and Estadio Do Galatians are expected to arrive soon.
Previously, per the company, the Club Moderno and Estadio Do Galatians maps were being designed to deliver extreme nightclub and stadium shootouts that are redolent of Max's earlier dust-ups with some of Sao Paulo's most dangerous elements like the Comando Sombra and the Crach Preto. Now it seems like all the developments are completed, and the only thing left is to release it on the supported platforms.
The Hostage Negotiation DLC will be a brand new DLC pack after the company previously released Local Justice Pack, the Gorilla Warfare Pack, the Disorganized Crime Pack, and more.
However, after Hostage Negotiation, the company is also set to release two more DLC packs - Painful Memories Pack and Deathmatch Made In Heaven.
