New York Knicks playmaker and his buddies have been accused of bursting into a woman's Los Angeles residence in August 2013 and having sex with her when she was intoxicated and frail due to alcohol intake, the L.A Times published. The so-called victim, who was ascribed as Jane Doe in tribunal, claimed to be also drugged by him.
Rose denied the fact to answer all questions, saying "I'm just focused on the season." The oncoming basketball season will be Rose's first with the New York Knicks after several thriving but self-injury years with previous team the 'Chicago Bulls'.
"All three men were innocent from day one," said Mark Baute, Rose's attorney. "We're just happy the system worked."
No press charges have been filed in the case. Allegedly, they have reported the incident to Los Angeles police two years after the rape event, and LAPD officials have said they are abiding to investigate it.
In landing a verdict, jurors deliberately specify three allegations against each of the men: Sexual battery, battery and trespassing.
Jared said the Jury was unanimous in its resolution the first time it took a voting. Before the election, he said, the jury tried to contemplate all the testimony and evidence in a light most beneficial to the woman.
"We actually tried to prove the plaintiff correct before we made our decision," he said. "We went over the evidence from the plaintiff's point of view and wrote down everything that was believable. And nothing added up."
All the same, the accused men denied her story, saying the woman had hostilely asked for sex with them at Rose's house and organized the plan to come to her place, the Times stated. Once there, they asserted, that she let them in and took each of them into her bedroom in turns.
While there was no tangible evidence, the parties' call and text messages became crucial pieces of fact in the civil case.
