Showrunner Urman said that Michael's traumatic event that he recently encountered will be giving him a second chance in life, giving him an ultimately new perspective in the new season. It has been reported that his change of life will be the ultimate focus of the storyline in "Jane the Virgin" season three. Urman assures the fans that even ultimately to Michael's last breath, he will never stop loving Jane which has sent the fans to an ultimate romance experience.

Since the new season of "Jane the Virgin" will focus on the traumatic events of their lives, Gina Rodriguez says that her character as Jane will be going through a big transformation as the series progresses. She will need to adjust to how her life is turning out to be. She will be making life-changing decisions that will be an iconic event to transpire in the series.

Rodriguez also dished out that they will be becoming more mature in "Jane the Virgin" season three, as Jane, her friends and her family will be dealing with more serious issues in their lives. In this season, Jane will realize so many things about the truth of life and the writers of the series are definitely doing all they could to feature her growing up this season.

It has also been reported that some scenes they have already filmed were so sad that it affected Rodriguez and her positive outlook in life. Granted, the show will still be keeping its comedy from time to time but it cannot be denied that they will all be growing up in this season.
