Why 32GB iPhone 7 Are Slower Than Other Variants?

The iPhone 7 has three different storage variants, and according to theory, the one and the only disparity between these variants is size. But while that's what most people believe, the 32GB model is actually much slower compared to the bigger models, determined by a number of real-world tasks. We'd already heard reports stating that there is a certain difference with regards to the quality of storage, as well as some other theories that explain the difference, and how it might affect the usage rate of these variants.

32 GB iPhones are slower than you might think

Tests have been made between the 32GB iPhone 7 in contrast to the 128GB model. The first testing was composed of read and write speeds of iPhones with both storage variants. The results are pretty impressive. The read speed may have the same results at around 700MB per second, but the write speed prefers the 128 GB model a lot more compared to results of the 32GB model. For a more specific data, the 128GB model writes at a speed of 341MB per second, while the 32GB goes at a much slower pace of 42MB per second. That's a massive difference. Disc speed makes a huge difference in terms of real-world performance on the iPhones. The iOS is more likely to have push apps out of the RAM and have their data stored on disc drives. This implies that the longer it would take for a user to read and write files, the slower the phone will perform.

Buying a 23GB model isn't worth it

More noticeably, heavy tasks like copying movies from-PC-to-phone take a much longer period on the 32GB model. Generally, tasks, like copy-pasting, copying photos, or even restoring your phone from a backup, will take much longer for the 32GB model, which overall implies that buying a 32GB model is really a bad idea since it has performance issues. People might think that it's better than a 16 GB variant, but with the issues regarding its speed and performance, it's still not a worth buy.
