Sony To Add Tournament Games For The Playstation Users

Through the partnership with eSports company ESL, Sony launched a new feature on PlayStation 4 today. The announcement of the tournament games starts with the NBA 2K17 game.

According to the blog posted by PlayStation, they are very proud to announce that they are finally kicking off the tournament gaming. They are happy to announce it today in accordance of the celebration of the start of the new NBA season.

We’re kicking off the first Major tournament with NBA 2K17, to celebrate the beginning of the NBA season. The Major Tournament runs from October 27 to November 26, with Major Cup rounds occurring every Saturday. Top 3 winners of the NBA 2K17 Major Tournament will receive a prize pack that includes items such as a DualShock 4 and PlayStation gear.

If you are interested in joining the tournament. you need to signup today. You just need to have a copy of NBA 2K17, an ESL account and a PlayStation Plus membership. If you don't have an account on ESL, you might want to register today for you to link it on your membership.

If another game will be on a tournament, you must have the same requirement plus the copy of the game for your PS4.

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, European PS4 owners can currently register for FIFA 17, NBA 2K17, WRC 5, and Project CARS tournaments, with Tricky Towers and Tumblestone tournaments to come.

Once tournaments are live, you can find them under Events on your PS4 system menu to view the details. If you have signed up for a tournament, your PS4 will automatically prompt you when it is time to play your matches. There are many types of tournaments and matches taking place, so if you want to know it all and check each out, always visit your PlayStation Tournaments' feature and compete.
