New Skyrim DLC Teased By Bethesda, Trailer Arriving On Nov. 5

"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" is easily one of the popular games of the year, and it seems like that popularity will not die out anytime soon. Per reports, developer and publisher Bethesda has announced - via its Twitter account - that a new DLC is coming to its acclaimed RPG, "Skyrim."

While the company did not reveal much about the upcoming DLC, it shared an image of a character that will be present on this DLC. Moreover, a trailer for this DLC will be released on Nov. 5, and the DLC itself, if going by the history of the things, is expected to hit the Xbox 360 platform first and a month later on other platforms, which is due to Microsoft's exclusivity deal.

This news via Twitter is the first confirmation about an upcoming DLC for the game from Bethesda after data files were uncovered in the PC version of "Skyrim" that pointed to a new expansion pack, supposedly entitled "Dragonborn." It was also revealed that this expansion pack would take the players to Morrowind, apart from granting the ability to ride Dragons and gain access to spears.

Additionally, PC users will be thrilled to know that the "Skyrim" 1.8 update has now been officially released on Steam. The update, previously released of a beta client, provides a host of bug fixes: general memory and stability improvements, fix to a rare crash when using vampiric grip, fix to an issue where Arnleif and Sons Trading Company could become permanently locked, fixes to issue related to duplicate NPCs, and also a Fix to a rare issue where exterior door would not open properly.

This DLC is set to be a brand new one for the game after the arrival of Dawnguard on May 1 and Heathfire on Sept. 4. While the Heathfire add-on allowed the player character to purchase a plot of land and build their own home from raw materials such as lumber and clay, with the option of adding greenhouses, bee hives and alchemy/enchanting facilities, Dawnguard gave players an option to either join forces with the Vampires, or fight them alongside an order of Vampire hunters known as the Dawnguard.

However, as far as Heathfire is concerned, it received mixed to negative reception, due to a number of glitches that kept new gameplay elements from being unlocked (such as not being able to obtain the deed to Lakeview Manor because the seller is in a Dark brotherhood contract and more).
