Hi-Rez's Smite Tactics Expands Universe, What's New?

Hi-Rez Studios just announced its newest game Smite Tactics. This new strategy game is set in the same universe just like its predecessor. The latest game by Hi-Rez is about instructing Gods and minions on the battlefield towards winning the match.

Smite Tactics Is An Expanded Version Of Smite

DoTa 2 and League of Legends (LOL) have always been the go-to multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) titles. Smite has been a worthy competitor, but now Hi-Rez has launched a spin-off, the strategy game Smite Tactics, Escapist Magazine reported.

"Smite Tactics is a game of strategy where players will carefully choose which minions to deploy across the battlefield and which gods will lead them," the developer said. According to IGN, the game will have familiar characters from Battleground of the Gods.

Smite Tactics has 1v1 competitive modes that are included together with adventure modes wherein the players will have a duel against an artificial intelligence (AI) or computer generated enemies. The lead designer of Smite, Scott Lussier, said that the developers wanted to expand the Smite game even before and give players the experience they very much deserve.

Smite Tactics Will Be A Strategy Game

"Experience mythological warfare from a whole new perspective, overseeing battles as their favorite gods and goddesses while wielding their signature abilities," Lussier added on their aim to provide a unique experience.

Because it is a strategy game, Smite Tactics let its players decide on what to use between gods and minions. The players have the freedom to build their armies using different collectible cards, according to Eurogamer.

Players have to be creative with their deck. But there is a question regarding on how the players will pay but with Hi-Rez' two games, Smite and Paladins are free-to-play (F2P) with microtransactions. A closed beta will be available before 2016 ends. The avid fans should sign up for the beta version of Smite Tactics.
