On Wednesday night, the controversial couple spent another date night as they attended the "American Pastoral" premiere after party in New York City. It can be recalled that the lovebirds have been spotted together multiple times earlier this month.
According to reports, the 26-year-old actress walked the red carpet premiere of the said movie to support her "Twilight" co-star Dakota Fanning. Later that night, she arrived at the John Meadow's American Cut Midtown for the after party with her musician girlfriend.
The couple sported an effortlessly chic street style for their date night. Stewart donned a pair of distressed Mother Denim jeans and a black Sandro Blazer. The actress also matched her outfit with fashionable open-toed shoes. On the other hand, St. Vincent rocked a tight black mini skirt with a crop-top fur vest. She also complemented her look with eye-catching yellow pumps.
A source revealed to PEOPLE that the couple looks "smitten" with each other as they sat together at the VIP table. They were joined by Fanning shortly after.
Amidst the blossoming relationship of the couple, rumors claim that Stewart might be using St. Vincent for publicity since awards season is drawing near. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the actress is "manipulating the media" by intentionally hanging out in public and expose their relationship.
It was said that Stewart supposedly "has to put her personal life on display in order to generate public interest." The same source also noted that since the actress has two films coming out this year, she is "using the St. Vincent showmance ahead of her awards season campaign." The allegations even went as far as theorizing that Stewart will "end up dumping St. Vincent after the Oscars next year, once she realizes that she doesn't need her anymore."
However, Gossip Cop debunked the said "absurd" reports. The site pointed out an acting award is not measured on who the actor/actress is dating. They also revealed that a source assures that Stewart and St. Vincent is not an awards season "showmance" and that the rumors are "not true."
