Canon EOS M5 Mirrorless Camera: Tiny But Powerful

Canon's new flagship camera is a mirrorless called the EOS M5 Model. Is has the same sensor feature like in EOS 80D and gives definitely stunning images. It is a 24.2-megapixel camera with dual-pixel CMOS autofocus, Digic 7 processor, and ISO up to 25, 600. Its recording capability can shoot a 7fps full HD video.

A Handy Camera

Canon EOS M5 has an attractive body shape just like the other cameras of Canon. It looks like a smaller version of the DSLRs on the market. According to Trusted Reviews, the camera is a cute copy of DSLR.

EOS M5 is so tiny with a sizeable grip on the right side, along with easy-to-access physical controls. Around the shutter release, you can find a rotating dial that controls different settings depending on the shooting mode. Just behind the shutter release is a second dial that offers customization: inside the dial is a button you press that allows you to choose between the different options available.

Another dial is handily placed for control via your thumb for altering exposure compensation. It has a good level of rigidity, so you won’t accidentally knock it and create wildly over- or under-exposed images.

On the back side of the camera, you will find the majority buttons located on the right-hand side. The screen is touch-sensitive so that you can use it to set the autofocus point even for moving objects. For recordings, you can play, pause, or playback videos just by ticking on the options on the screen. EOS M5 model has "touch and drag AF" that allows users to use the viewfinder while using the screen to set the autofocus point.

Selfie Camera

The viewfinder of the Canon EOS M5 can be tilt to face the front at its bottom hinge. So if you are using the camera to take selfies, you can still see the resulting image with the use of the monitor.

Also, since this mirrorless camera is very handy, it will not be hard to hold it while smiling and capturing.

The Price

According to The Verge, the camera's price is $979.99 for the body by itself. Amid the very good quality and features, I think it is reasonable for the price. You may have to pay for additional if you want to change your lens or buy for accessories such case, tripod, shutter speed, etc.
