Many Skyrim fans must have been ecstatic when seeing the game being played out on the newest hybrid game console Nintendo Switch. Despite showcasing the open world action role-playing video game on Nintendo Switch preview clip, it turned out there is no confirmation yet from Bethesda if Skyrim is indeed playable on the hybrid console.
Skyrim: Special Edition Appearance On Nintendo Switch
Bethesda just released the latest trailer for the forthcoming The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Special Edition, which many fans have noticed has impressive improvements in so many aspects of the game. For now though, Skyrim: Special Edition will only be available on PlayStation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. This information stirred confusion among Skyrim fans after seeing the game being played on Nintendo Switch.
Bethesda Supports Nintendo Switch
In an official press statement released by Bethesda last Thursday, Oct. 20 shortly after the preview clip for Nintendo Switch was unveiled, the developer made clarification regarding the appearance of Skyrim on said clip is not as good as confirmation. Even so, Bethesda stressed out in its statement that it is delighted with its partnership with Nintendo, thus supports Switch by all means. Bethesda further stated that it is looking forward "to revealing specific games and details in the future."
Hopes Are High For Skyrim On Nintendo Switch
Despite Bethesda's confirmation, hopes are high for many Skyrim fans that the latest The Elder Scrolls installment will soon, if not now, be available on Switch. Based on the list of third-party game developers that support Switch released by Nintendo, Bethesda is included on said list. This only means that the odds are still in favor for future Nintendo Switch owners and Skyrim fans.
Other games that made appearances on Nintendo Switch's preview clip include a new Super Mario game, NBA 2K17, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon.
