Skyrim Special Edition release date is just one week away and fans are hyped to experience the remastered version of the franchise. Currently, Bethesda reveals that Skyrim Special Edition mod size is bigger on Xbox One compared to PlayStation 4. In addition, a recent gameplay video was released focusing on the upcoming title.
According to the report from Game Rant, Bethesda promised earlier that they will improve the game's graphics. With all said and done, loyal fans of this fantasy-RPG game can take comfort knowing the studio really keep their words. Additionally, when it comes to enhancing the game through mods, it seems like Xbox One owners will receive more benefits than those who purchased the game on PlayStation 4.
Based on the recent post from Bethesda Game Studios, it details the contents of Skyrim Special Edition. The developer states that the mod size for Xbox One is bigger than the PlayStation 4. The RPG game will allow a space of 5 GB for Xbox One while PS4 is only granted a 1 GB space dedicated for mods.
Although, some gamers said that the single gigabyte mod space for Skyrim Special Editon's PlayStation 4 version is more than enough as the game does not allow using mods that utilize the external asset. This means that fans would not be able to incorporate such eccentricity as Thomas the Tank Engine dragons, however, they will be allowed to open up new exploits of gameplay with lesser materials by integrating elements such as quest-lines and conversation choices.
On the other hand, the 5 GB mod space limit for Xbox One will cater a much wider variety of modifications, as the developer is allowing players to use external assets on the said console. The recent mod storage differences between Skyrim Special Edition's Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is significant to Fallout 4's initial size limit which was estimated for Sony's system, as Sony allows 2 GB while PlayStation 4. On the other hand, it is currently capped at 900 MB. Some fans might hope for a more space on PlayStation 4, however, majority of the fans is most likely pleased with the larger mod size for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in Skyrim Special Edition.
Skyrim Special Edition is slated for release on Oct. 28 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
