Following reports of being pregnant, Cheryl and One Direction singer Liam Payne are now rumored to be getting married soon. This is after Cheryl was granted a quick divorce from estranged husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.
As reported, Cheryl and her ex-husband were handed a Decree Nisi at the Central Family Court in London on Thursday morning. The 33-year-old singer was granted a quick divorce in only 14 seconds, according to Daily Mail.
The same source also added that Cheryl cited her ex-husband's "unreasonable behavior" as the reason for their divorce and that he had caused her "stress and weight loss" throughout their relationship. "The marriage having irretrievably broken down, the facts proved being the respondent's unreasonable behavior," the district judge's certificate reads.
And now that Cheryl's wedding is officially voided,reports suggest that Liam Payne is on the verge of marrying his girlfriend. "Now that Cheryl is officially divorced, Liam is eager to ask her hand in marriage. It's only a matter of time that they make their relationship official," a source tells Hollywood Life.
"Liam and Cheryl have been discussing marriage for some time now, down to the details of who would be the best man and who would be the bridesmaids," the same source added. "They are both excited to start a family together and be husband and wife."
On the other hand, LOOK recently reported that the 23-year-old One Direction member already popped the question to Cheryl. Apparently, the young star wanted to keep it traditional and even asked Cheryl's father for approval first.
"Liam wants Cheryl to know how dedicated he is to her and to them being a family," an insider exclusively told LOOK. "It prompted him to ask her dad Gary Tweedy's permission during a secret meet-up in Newcastle.'"
Meanwhile, rumors of Cheryl being pregnant with Liam Payne's baby still persist. Photos of the singer with what seems to be a bulging "baby bump" intensified the claims even more. There were even reports that the couple already set up a nursery for the upcoming bundle of joy.
Despite all these claims, both Liam Payne and Cheryl have not addressed the said wedding and pregnancy rumors. Are the two ready to tie the knot soon and settle down?
