Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog of the Shadow Warrior 2 are gearing up for the first free content that will soon arrive. Details have not been revealed yet, but devs revealed that players can soon expect free new missions, new weapons and lots more.
Shadow Warrior 2 Updates
The first Shadow Warrior 2 free content update is also set to bring a new "ultra-hard" challenge mode with co-op ninja characters, PC Gamer reported. The new weapons, items and missions were not detailed, but players should hear some announcements and rumors soon enough.
What is known, however, is that the Shadow Warrior 2 free content will include the classic katana Nobitsura Kage from the first title. This is the same weapon that Lo Wang set out to find in the 2013 title.
Meanwhile, patch 1.1.3.0 is already available. "We're adding some new features like insane difficulty tiers, rebalance of some skills and drop system, better crafting and a lot of big fixes, so it needs to be tested properly. Hope you understand," the studio said on Steam.
It is unknown when the free content is dropping, but players are already itching to try the ultra-hard mode of Shadow Warrior 2. The new updates will level-up the thrill of the game.
What Is The Story Behind The Shadow Warrior 2?
According to Worth Playing, Shadow Warrior 2 will focus on the crazy adventures of former corporate shogun Lo Wang after five years. The warrior has survived the corrupt world of mercenaries. He will need to build his own gun, blades and incorporate magic that he used against battling the devils.
Five years later, Lo Wang disbanded his alliance from his former boss who is a traitor and the ancient gods in the shadow realm. The warrior wanted to destroy corruption but it will be a hard task for him especially now that humans are interacting with the demons.
Shadow Warrior 2 is now available for PC and will be available to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in early 2017.
