The Android and iOS versions of Facebook are yet again set to get more new feature updates from the company. Per reports, Facebook for Android and iOS is now getting updated with the newest addition in the form of a share button.
Facebook has just announced the newest existence of the share button and has already started integrating the feature on News Feed articles from the user’s Android app. With this update, Facebook for Android and iOS makes it easier than ever to share stories, images, and other stuff from the user’s handset.
“You can now use the Share button on News Feed stories from your phone whether you're using the Facebook for Android app, the Facebook for iPhone and iPad app, or the Facebook mobile web site. This gives people a fast way to share stories with friends from their mobile phones, just as they can from their computers,” the official Facebook page states.
Discussing both the apps on two different operating systems separately, the Android version of the app has received other updates as well. The app’s changelog states that users will now have the ability to create an album from the Photos tab on Timeline. Improvements to photo tagging, apart from a newly issued fix for status update failure that has been affecting some users for quite some time now, have also been made.
As far as the iOS version of the app is concerned, the Facebook app for iOS has also received some other updates in the 'What’s New' section. Users can now tag their friends in any post, comment or photo, and can also use smileys, hearts, and other emoji in messages. Moreover, the feed can be sorted by tapping the button next to News Feed in the left sidebar.
The previous Facebook app update for iOS has also been one of the major ones sent out by the company for its Apple-based users. The previous Facebook update for iOS brought new features that made it easier to chat and share multiple photos, among other features.
Along with that update, Facebook also introduced various Instagram-like photo filters that allowed a user to get imaginative with photographs before uploading it to their Timeline or a photo album.
