“Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” fans on PlayStation 3 have good news heading their way. Per reports, Treyarch has revealed a brand new patch for the PS3 version of the newly released first-person shooter (FPS).
The new patch has arrived after the new game was found to be lagging on the Sony-made console, and Treyarch has been working hard to rectify the freezing issues most people are having. “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” is currently only the second game after “FIFA 13” to be released before the holidays with a lot of problems and glitches. Now, similar to EA, Treyarch has also taken up the matter seriously and is now sending out fixes to gamers.
“It has some good fixes for commonly reported problems and we will keep at it. Of course,” game director David Vonderhaar said. It has also been stated that any gamer who is having problems with the PlayStation 3 version of the title would know that the wisest thing to do here is to contact Vonderhaar on Twitter in order to get a quick response, or even a possible timely fix.
The new report of a PS3 patch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” has arrived after it was reported that the PlayStation 3 version of the newly released game was experiencing several issues. These issues ranged from freezing issues and server issues to sound glitches. Apparently, some players were also getting messages stating “more players are needed to balance teams” although they’re already in full lobbies.
As far as the problems were concerned, some players weren’t even able to play the game online. It was stated that people “are having issues with connecting to a game, or the servers entirely, or getting a ‘servers not available’ message when they do manage to connect. One person states that he waited four hours to get a connection.”
This problem, however, is not new. Taking into account the previous “Call of Duty: Black Ops ” game, it seems like it’s just another case, per a NowGamer report, “of history repeating itself, since the PS3 version of the original Black Ops had a number of platform exclusive issues that just didn't seem to get fixed, at least not for a while.”
Additionally, it was reported that there’s a double XP weekend for the game which is underway, and for fans who are still unaware as to how this works, Treyarch has simplified it: “Double XP is displayed a bit differently in Black Ops II. You will see your total XP earned at the end of the match. However, the numbers that appear in-game during a match are not XP earned, but rather your points that are earned towards your next ‘Scorestreak.’”
