Korean Drama 'Something About 1 Percent' 2016 Remake: It’s Different Than The Original

"Something About 1 Percent" had released its 2016 remake; which starred Ha Seok Jin and Jeon So Min. It was released early this month on Dramax.

Movie News Guide stated that the remake share the same storyline with that of the original. The love story centered between a poor girl and a rich guys, Kim Da Hyun and Lee Jae In respectively. The two lead characters have opposing attitudes which would lead to a conclusion that they would never complement each other. One is a bachelor who has an overwhelmingly corrupted character while the other was a school teacher who was described as kind-hearted.

With its 2003 version being so popular and a great hit, fans from all over the world are expecting great and different for its 2016 remake. After watching the remake, fans cant' help but compare it to the past adaptation and feel nostalgic.

Lee Jae In and Kim Da Hyun, the lead characters of the story was obliged to date despite the fact that they didn't know each other personally. But with the request of the guy's grandfather, the two were forced to do it.

The grandfather was easily attracted to the girl. Thus, he realized that the teacher was a good and suitable partner for his grandson. Because of the inheritance that is in stake, Lee Jai In has no choice but to say yes in the grandfather's request.

The two entered into a temporary engagement contract where the young man would take and pursue the girl, Kim Da Hyun, and eventually make her fall in love. The continuing story would reveal if the two develop feelings for each other or not.

On the other side, The Bitbag reiterated that some people were comparing the Korean drama series to "Uncontrollably Fond'. With its storyline, some are expecting that it would end just like how the other Korean drama series has ended. However, its creator would create twists and turns that would eventually meet the expectations of its avid viewers.
