The 5 Stages Of Pokemon GO Grief

Despite the popularity of Pokemon GO within the first months from its initial release, it became quite obvious that the game is lacking in several aspects. Fans were disappointed and continued to be as Niantic refuses to update the game in the way the fans have demanded and wanted from the company.

The 5 Stages Of Pokemon GO Grief

Although Pokemon GO has been severely lacking in depth; and fans have been disappointed time and time again by useless after useless updates, we can't help but make fun of this Augmented Reality Game Niantic developed for Pokemon fans who wish to stay fit around the world. One Reddit user posted the five stages of Pokemon GO grief, highlighting the emotional turmoil fans go through when they feel as if the game is dead. This happens when the game doesn't give them fun anymore.

Denial. The first stage in Pokemon GO grief is Denial. This is where users tell themselves the game is still good; hence, they continue to play the game and find more ways to keep themselves from quitting. They try to make the game more enjoyable by constantly searching for new things and waiting on updates, clinging on to the next patch full of hope.

Anger. In the ever-growing Pokemon GO grief list, the second stage is Anger. Users start to get frustrated after the initial feelings of denial. Spurred on by receiving several useless updates, these users will start posting their rants and sometimes even sophisticated diatribes all across several social media platforms.

Bargaining. This is the third stage in the Pokemon GO stages of grief list. Users will start to post everything they want the game to have on social media, from Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr to posting videos on YouTube. They will think of great ideas and suggest them to various social media sites even though Niantic will never implement them.

Depression. Penultimately the fourth stage in the Pokemon GO stages of grief list. This is where the users start to say goodbye from playing the game. They will stop catching most Pokemons and will only bother themselves with finding rares and grinding Pidgeys.

Acceptance. Finally, we are at the fifth and final stage of the Pokemon GO grief stages. After undergoing the aforementioned four, the users finally quit. This is where they realize the failed potential of the game by Niantic.

Why Pokemon GO Users Can Relate

Pokemon GO is definitely lacking in useful, engaging features and most users have decided to quit. Claiming that one of the main issues is the complete lack of a decent tracker. Another issue is the lack of a decent system that prevents Gym Stagnation from happening. With the recent release of push notifications update, Niantic is on a losing streak once again.
