It's almost four months since the release of Niantic's augmented reality game, Pokemon GO, and the development company still haven't implemented all of their promised features. Most of the features they promised were showcased in the trailer they released with the game. Fans have started to care less for the game and Pokemon GO now faces a steady decline in users.
Promised Features That Are Still Not Implemented
Since the release of the trailer months ago, fans are still awaiting the updates Niantic has promised that will be coming for Pokemon GO. The game still has no proper tracking system and the utter lack of trading system made the game very limited in terms of social interactions. Instead of implementing these updates, Niantic has opted to throwing users with distractions and other types of alleged "bait" instead while they wait.
Pokemon GO trainers have admitted the recent updates for the game were nice features. Semi scaling CP in enemy gyms and being able to bring 5 Pokemon to train at a single time are good updates that Niantic recently brought live. However, many users claimed that everything the game has advertised seems to be completely different from the gaming experience as it is today.
One Reddit user even said that Pokemon GO will die if it does not make any of the demanded features by the end of the year. The features fans have been raving about the following: a better tracking system, the trading system, the battling system between friends and users, and the Legendary Pokemon.
Steady Decline Of Pokemon GO Trainers
Despite Pokemon GO just rounding its fourth month, it's been facing a steady decline of users, and some trainers have all but given up on becoming the very best, seeking that venture somewhere else or from a different Pokemon game. Players have started to care less about battling and tracking since most of their friends have decided to quit anyway, and they found these non-existent features useless and incapacitating. Despite claims that it's still earning lots of money every day, Niantic could be facing a short-lived trend with the rate things are going.
The issues within Pokemon GO is a long list and has been the topic of rants and angry diatribes across social media. From concise factual posts to ardent critical reviews, they all convey the same thing: this augmented reality game by Niantic could be dying. All because fans have started to get tired of waiting for updates that may or may not be happening.
