Audi RS6 Vs Nissan GT-R: Station Wagon Puts Pressure On Godzilla, Tailgates Monster During Race

The Nissan GT-R is a hand-built 2-door high-performance vehicle produced by Nissan unveiled in 2007. It's 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 makes 565 horsepower, hitting 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and topping out at 195 mph. Undoubtedly, it is still one of the fastest supercars on the track, earning the fond moniker of "Godzilla."

Audi, for one, has made a name for itself as a manufacturer of extremely fast vehicles as well. Apart from the Porsche-developed RS2 and the V10-Powered RS6, the German automaker created some capable family haulers, according to Car Scoops. Recently, Audi released the RS6, and notably, the estate actually packs a pretty mean punch.

A few tough Porsches can run and challenge the GT-R on the track. However, GT-R drivers may actually have to anguish about the Audi RS6 station wagon, an estate car station wagon. The estate was released with an even hotter variant which has a turbo over boost feature allowing the power to scroll up to a heady 597bhp out of a turbocharged V8 and all-wheel-drive.

It's an even-more-powerful version of the regular RS6 Avant that can conveniently seat a family and carry all their luggage and stuff, which is pretty phenomenal on its own. As it turns out, however, Audi's family hauler has a lot to give on the track.

According to Torque News, Pistonheads pitted both models on the Blyton Park race track to see how well the RS6 could keep up with Godzilla himself. Surprisingly, Audi's station wagon proved very capable, running after the Nissan-made monster tenaciously and never really getting left behind.

Well, you might not be able to beat a GT-R behind the wheel of an Audi RS6 Avant Performance, but still. The fact that this station wagon tailgating and can put pressure with Godzilla on the track, is definitely something to think about.
