“Assassin’s Creed 3” fans have some good news headed their way. Per reports, Ubisoft has released a Thanksgiving patch for “Assassin’s Creed 3.”
The patch is said to fix a host of SP issues, improves the multiplayer mode, and also fixes rare crashes and bugs. Moreover, console owners will be prompted to download it the moment they connect their consoles to the Internet. A similar prompt message is also expected for PC gamers too. However, if the patch prompt is not available, this means that the patch has already been applied to the release version of the game.
“We have included below the details of our Thanksgiving Patch for Assassin's Creed III. This patch is due out by the end of next week and designed to optimize your player experience. If your console is connected to the internet at the time of release, you will receive a prompt to inform you that a title update is available to download,” the official site stated.
The patch is a major improvement as, per a previous PlayStation Universe report, the game “has had quite a collective of glitches and issues after its long-awaited launch, and, though a patch greeted avid fans on day one, Ubisoft has sought to fix as many of the issues before the holiday season really kicks off. With Black Friday coming at the end of the week, this hotfix is perfectly timed to accommodate any new players to have the experience that Ubisoft wants players to have.”
However, players need to be warned that if they haven’t finished the story yet, many of these alterations may have adverse affects on the story. “So, if you don't want spoilers, then take solace in the fact that the 36 mission fixes will make the entire experience much smoother,” the PSU report further adds.
“Assassin’s Creed 3” is powered by the amazing new Anvil Next engine, which has been designed exclusively for the new game. It was also previously reported that the team of developers spent three years building this revolutionary system from the ground up.
The system now provides stunning breakthroughs in motion-capture, face-capture, voice over (a first for videogames), animation, and AI technology, which deliver more realistic character animations and interactions than ever before. It also provides real weather, seasons, and time details, which go on to affect the world around the player.
