The Division 1.4 update is set to launch on Tuesday, and performance mod slots are expected to come, allowing players to use the mods to fill in the gaps with the non-optimal skills on their gear. The upcoming patch also requires saving sealed caches in The Division 1.3, then open up upon the release of the new update.
The Division 1.3 Caches
Saving the The Division 1.3 sealed caches, specifically the "Underground" and "Dark Zone" caches, is reported to be required when the new patch is launched. This is due to the fact that the performance mod slots will be made available after saving the caches before opening up. In addition, some weapon talents will be removed in 1.3, which means the players can no longer open a 1.3 sealed cache. According to reports, these caches are going to be purchasable when the new patch releases.
The Division 1.4 Update
The Division sealed caches are expected to save the players as much game tech, and other materials for 229 blueprints when remained unopened until the new 1.4 patch is released. Moreover, it will also allow farming several Phoenix, Dark Zone and regular credits, which can be handy in buying sealed caches, with the likelihood of getting a gear.
However, this would depend on the level and World Tier the player is currently into. Based on reports, the ideal way to farm Phoenix credits is by repeatedly running Lexington mission since it provides the most efficient grinds for credits. The Division 1.4 update is set to release on Oct. 25.
The Division 1.4 PS4, Xbox One System Requirements
Other new features of The Division 1.4 update include more Underground caches beyond the max level and experience counting to Field Proficiency, a "craft all" button, adjusted skills and purchasable caches. Meantime, PS4 players are believed to get an 11GB patch while the Xbox One players are likely to have almost 6GB patch. However, the size of the new patch for the PC players is not clear yet.
