Skyrim PlayStation 3 DLC Still In Development

PlayStation 3-based Skyrim fans who are still waiting for a custom PlayStation DLC for “Skyrim” have been keeping their patience for a long time in pursuit of coming to terms with their Xbox 360 counterparts. Now, per reports, their patience is about to get rewarded as Bethesda has confirmed that the game’s DLC and extra content is currently under development.

Continually quizzed on Twitter regarding the missing “Skyrim” DLC content for PS3, some users quizzed Bethesda's Pete Hines on whether or not the DLC was coming.

“Yes. We continue to work on it. And content will be coming to PS3. Will give details when I have them,” Hines replied via Twitter. He also added that there are “still some things to sort.”

“So he - and Bethesda - is adamant the content will arrive to PS3 at some point. Hopefully it's sooner rather than later and, hopefully, it won't have any impact on the recently announced Skyrim: Dragonborn DLC,” a Now Gamer report stated.

Although Bethesda is still saying that PlayStation 3 owners will soon get to play the Dawnguard DLC, there hasn’t been any concrete proof and a final reveal date is still due. Moreover, neither of the game's two previously-released DLCs have yet made their way to PlayStation 3, despite the first, 'Dawnguard', being released on Xbox 360 over five months ago.

Additionally, it has also been mentioned that the newest, recently announced and upcoming “Skyrim” DLC, Dragonborn, will also not be making its way to the PlayStation 3 anytime soon, as it was only announced for the Xbox 360.

The new DLC for Skyrim features quite a few ‘Morrowind’ elements, and is hugely anticipated by the “Skyrim” fans. Gamers will now get to travel off the coast of Morrowind, to the island of Solstheim and will come across new places, prisons, and missions, as they navigate the ash wastes and glacial valleys of this new land.

The “Skyrim” Dragonborn DLC is set to be available for 1600 MSP and will be released on Dec. 4 on Xbox 360. The PlayStation 3 and PC versions of the DLC will hopefully come at a later date.
