“Far Cry 3” from Ubisoft has garnered a host of positive reviews since the day it was first announced. While the game is set to arrive today in Europe, North American gamers will still have to wait until next month to get their hands on the game.
However, Ubisoft has added more fuel leading up to the game’s arrival by revealing a video that shows 10 “insane” minutes of the game.
As far as the new video (see below) is concerned, Ubisoft has released a minute-by-minute table of contents for the video for indexing purposes:
- Vacation In Paradise – 0:07
- The North Island Factions – 0:49
- The South Island Mercenaries – 1:34
- Vast Island Playground – 2:27
- Guns & Weapons – 3:08
- Outposts & Towers – 4:19
- Animals & Hunting – 5:00
- Crafting & Skills – 5:25
- Extreme Travel – 6:43
- Mini-Games – 7:13
- Competitive Multiplayer – 7:38
- Co-Op Campaign – 8:32
- Welcome to the Rook Islands – 9:21
Heading over to the critical patch for the game, “Far Cry 3” will be getting a day 1 patch on the PC when it releases, and Ubisoft is calling this patch a “critical update.” Version 1.01 “needs to be installed in order to benefit from an optimal game experience.”
“Patch 1.01 for Far Cry 3 on PC is a critical update that needs to be installed in order to benefit from an optimal game experience. The install is automatically triggered upon Uplay PC client restart or installation. If your Far Cry 3 PC game crashes upon launch, please restart the Uplay PC client and try again,” the official page states.
Accordingly, as reported, the new patch will contain single-player fixes as well as “overall multiplayer and single-player stability and performance." Moreover, the health regeneration option will no longer have inverted functionality. Fixes have been made to the “Weapon Cache” missions: Mission Zone and Mission Marker no longer stays on mini-map and on screen after mission completion. The link even has a download mirror for the patch for PC users, and the full patch notes can be found on the game’s official website.
“Far Cry 3” is out Nov. 29 in Europe, Nov. 30 in the UK and Dec. 4 in the U.S. for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
