'Pokemon GO' Update: Halloween Event Revealed; May Reinvigorate Fans' Attention For Awhile

Pokemon GO is finally getting a seasonal event celebrating the month of Halloween. Get ready to collect more ghosts and spooky Pokemons than you could ever imagine. Make sure to always bring your buddy Pokemon wherever you go because earning Candy is now four times faster than before.

Pokemon GO Halloween Event Live Soon

Niantic has finally announced a Halloween event that will start on October 26, 2016. The week and event duration will feature Candy bonuses by the double every time Pokemon GO trainers catch, hatch and transfer Pokemon. Trick Or Treaters will be able to don their costumes and go out to earn double the Candy as a bonus.

Earning Candy is also four times faster with your Buddy Pokemon. This is a good time to grind up on those Magikarp candies so you can finally get that Gyarados you've always dreamed of. This is a perfect time to evolve as much Magikarps as you want until you get the perfect moveset for Gyarados, too.

Pokemon GO will also have more spooky Pokemons popping up practically everywhere during this Halloween event. These spooky Pokemons include some of the basic ones like Zubat and Golbat, and the rarer ones like Hypno, Drowzee, Ghastly, Haunter, and Gengar. This is a great time to get your favorite spooky Pokemon.

Fans Reinvigorated By New Event

Fans and Pokemon trainers are finally excited that they are getting the updates and events Niantic should've been implementing to keep players engaged. Pokemon GO's increased spawn rate of the rare spooky Pokemons this Halloween are mainly the reason why. Drowzees and Hypnos are almost non-existent and Gengars and Haunters even more so. That's why those who doesn't have these Pokemons are excited to catch a lot of them during this event.

The players have claimed this is also such a refreshing and welcoming move. Pokemon GO usage is expected to go up during the week since the promise of more candies is urging people back. Instead of the usual 4 candies from a 20-kilometer walk, players will be getting a total of 16. Now, that is definitely a great event for Pokemon GO this Halloween.
