Walt Disney’s “Frozen” 2 is highly anticipated by millions of its fans worldwide. It took years before the second installment was given a green light but nevertheless, the long wait is over and its strong followers couldn’t be more excited to journey with their favorite characters on the big screen.
In a previous report, actress Kristen Bell (voice of Anna) was noted to have explained the main reason why the highest – grossing animated film took it so long to release a follow-up movie.
“They take a lot of time over there to just perfect it. It has to go through a lot of development to make sure it’s exactly the story that needs to be told. The story is great, and they exude quality. They wanted to figure out what story they needed to tell and what would be important and engaging, and I think they found it,” Bell said.
While both (Kristen Bell & Idina Menzel) major voice cast members are expected to reprise their roles in the “Frozen” 2 movie, Menzel might not be able to do so.
Recent rumors have it that Menzel will no longer be cast in the forthcoming animated musical fantasy following her announcement that she and fiancé Aaron Lohr are getting married the soonest time possible. The "Enchanted" singer-actress' schedule will be busy as she is set to make major preparations for her upcoming wedding, leaving no enough time to record for the new “Frozen.”
As such, Demi Lovato’s name surfaced as an ideal replacement for Menzel as the voice talent behind Elsa and that she even had her own rendition of the epic single "Let It Go" which is the theme song of the first movie. Also, Lovato’s supporters thought that the "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" actress is more than qualified to become Menzel's substitute because of her superb vocal prowess.
An exact release date of “Frozen” 2 has not yet been declared but spoilers have been making the rounds on the web. One surprising theory that is saddening if will come to fruition is Elsa’s downfall.
“Unless maybe Elsa falls off an ice cliff and she dies in the first five minutes." Menzel joked in an interview.
No “Frozen” loyalist would want to see Elsa die but remember, anything can happen.
