How The OnePlus 4 Can Put OnePlus On Top Of Samsung And Apple In 2017

When the first OnePlus phone was released, nobody knew what its fate will be. What's obvious from day one is that the company aims to compete with the mainstream brands. It was quite undeniable how innovative the OnePlus One was. Its specs were ambitious and pretty much a subtle prelude to how much of a flagship killer the future OnePlus phones will be. With OnePlus' obvious association with Oppo, we all know that the company is not just an amateur noob. However, it has always been hard to predict how much a company will grow during its startup days.

Now, with the OnePlus 3 being out in the market, it's already clear that the phone company is off to a brighter future. So far, since the OnePlus 3's release last June, the device has garnered praises and positive feedbacks. It's quite obvious that OnePlus' "flagship for half the price" offer has been effective and the company is heading towards non-stop innovation. With OnePlus 4's imminent launch in 2017, it's safe to say that bigger companies should start feeling scared now.

OnePlus 4 2017 To Beat Bigger Brands

With OnePlus' success, it won't be a surprise if more Apple and Samsung fans would rather opt for the OnePlus 4 next year. As of now, OnePlus might still be catering to a totally different market than what the iPhones and Galaxies are catering to. But with the arrival of the OnePlus 4, things might change. The OnePlus 3 still has some imperfections making it not a hundred percent replacement for premium expensive brands. It's already obvious that OnePlus' 2016 flagship has to sacrifice some things to reduce cost.

However, as of recent rumors, OnePlus might do away with the major sacrifices for their next year's release. This means that it's possible for the OnePlus 4 to be extra competitive and become a serious competition to premium brands. While there may always be some imperfections to minimize the costs, OnePlus might be able to keep the sacrifices minor for the OnePlus 4.

OnePlus 4 Rumors

We've all loved OnePlus phones for its big RAMs. The company has always been ahead of its time when it comes to this aspect. This means that there is a good chance that the company will amaze us once again with OnePlus 4's RAM size. IB Times says that there is a good chance that the OnePlus 4 would carry an 8 GB worth of RAM. It's worth noting that the OnePlus 3 is one of the first phones to carry 6 GB RAM in a market where the standard RAM size of premium phones is 4 GB.

Right now, the OnePlus 3 lacks a microSD slot and a competitive display. However, this might change with the OnePlus 4. Rumor has it that OnePlus might shift to a Quad HD display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution in their 2017 flagship. This may still be a bit inferior to what Apple and Samsung has in store for us next year, but it's still good to know that OnePlus will be improving over its last season's smartphone.

Furthermore, according to Tech Times, the OnePlus 4 could sport a super improved camera with 23 megapixels. It could then carry a price tag of a little over $400, at least based on predictions. This means that the OnePlus 4 is highly likely to retain the "flagship killer" title that OnePlus has always been known for. It's worth noting that this year's premium flagship devices carry price tags of more than $700. With OnePlus 3's $399 price and tons of positive reviews, it's easy to predict that more and more people will start to shift to affordable Androids such as the OnePlus 4 by next year.

It would be good news for fans if OnePlus is able to give the OnePlus 4 more premium features while keeping the price increase to a minimum. If the phone could sport a waterproof body and a more premium look, there's no more questioning how much the OnePlus 4 could beat higher brands in 2017. Still though, even if the company doesn't give the phone a major upgrade, it's still a serious option to most people as it would still be a better pick than midrange phones of the same price.
